On Tuesday afternoon, thousands of T-Mobile customers experienced service disruptions, but the company has since announced that the issues have been resolved.
Outage tracking website Downdetector noted that the highest number of reports occurred around 2:30 p.m. ET, with over 19,000 users indicating problems, primarily related to a lack of signal.
A T-Mobile spokesperson explained, “A facility in the Salt Lake area encountered a brief mechanical issue that affected connectivity for some customers in that region. However, this has now been resolved, and service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
T-Mobile isn’t the first mobile provider to face issues on Tuesday, as Verizon users also experienced outages in the Northeast earlier in the day.
“A network issue early this morning disrupted service for some Verizon Fios customers in the Northeast for a short period of time. As soon as the issue was identified, our engineering teams quickly restored the service,” Verizon said in a social media post on Tuesday afternoon.
